Ever since their first performance in 2006, No Angry Young Man has touched many hearts in the crazy little country of Belgium. Across the land borders as well they are frequently asked. After a show on the Stukafest festival in Groningen, they received a laudatory review of the VPRO in Holland. In consonance with the band's philosophy, they build their reputation the old-fashioned way -- they earn it.

The timeless music combined with an energetic live act and a lot of improvisations does not go unnoticed: in an acoustic setting this Belgian band transforms folk, pop and traditional jazz to something new. Along the years, you'll have found them play shows on famous Belgian festivals and venues like Maanrock, STUK (Leuven), Arenberg Schouwburg (Antwerp) and Dranouter. The cello plays the role of lead guitar and in combination with multiple voices singing No Angry Young Man creates a unique sound. The carefully chosen instruments -- guitar, piano and cello -- be prepared for a set of intimate, ambiant and outstandingly powerful moments.

The band's first titleless release was recorded during the winter of 2008, with producer Bai Kamara Jr. (Vaya con Dios, Youssou NDour), and sound engineer Philip Masure (Urban Trad, Las, Ambrozijn, ...). The mixing was done by Marc Francois (Ozark Henry, Novastar, ...). The album appears May 1st, 2009.
